WIG REPAIR + RESTORATION

Not every wig should be repaired. Some should be replaced. My job is to help you know the difference.

Wiganometry Wig Repair + Restoration is a specialty service created for quality human-hair wigs that are worth preserving. From thinning hairlines and damaged lace to poor fit and complete reconstruction, each unit is individually assessed to determine what can—and more importantly, what should—be restored.

Years of constructing, dismantling and rebuilding wigs have taught me that a successful repair isn’t simply about making a wig look good again. It’s about understanding the anatomy of the unit, identifying why it failed and determining whether the remaining foundation can support the work required to restore it.

Services May Include

Wig Repair — Starting at $250
Targeted repairs for quality wigs that remain structurally sound but require professional attention.

Wig Reconstruction — Starting at $500
For quality wigs with an ill-fitting or poorly constructed foundation. The existing unit is carefully dismantled and reconstructed onto a new Wiganometry foundation to improve fit, structure and wearability.

Hairline Restoration — Starting at $350
Thinning and over-plucked hairlines may be restored through hand ventilation, recreating areas where hair has been lost from the lace. Pricing is based on the amount of restoration required.

Extensive Hairline Restoration — Starting at $450
For hairlines requiring significant hand ventilation across a larger portion of the frontal area. These projects are individually assessed and quoted based on the condition of the lace and amount of work required.

Interior Lace Restoration — Starting at $350
Interior thinning or balding may be considered for restoration when the affected area is approximately 3×3 inches or smaller. Larger areas generally indicate that replacing the closure—or retiring the unit—may be the better investment.

Closure Replacement — Starting at $400 + New Closure
When the existing closure has reached the end of its usable life, it may be removed and replaced with a new closure when the remaining wig is suitable for reconstruction.

Before You Send Your Wig

Please do not ship your wig before it has been approved.

You will be required to submit clear photos of the front, back, interior cap, lace/hairline and area requiring repair before your unit is accepted.

Once your wig has been preliminarily approved, you will receive shipping instructions.

Upon arrival, your wig will be photographed and physically inspected before any work begins. The initial photo submission and arrival inspection create a documented record of the unit’s condition throughout the process.

Because photographs cannot always reveal what is happening beneath the surface, the final scope and price of your restoration will be determined after the physical inspection. No additional work will begin without your approval.

Is My Wig a Candidate for Restoration?

Wiganometry restoration services are intended for raw-hair and high-quality virgin human-hair wigs where professional restoration represents a worthwhile investment.

Synthetic wigs, beauty supply store wigs and lower-quality mass-produced units are not accepted for restoration.

Extensive shedding, deteriorating lace, severely compromised wefts or widespread interior balding may indicate that a wig has reached the end of its serviceable life. In those cases, I may recommend replacing the closure or retiring the unit rather than investing in a repair that I do not believe will provide reasonable longevity.

Being able to repair a wig does not always mean repairing it is the right thing to do.

Limited Availability

Wig Repair + Restoration is a limited-capacity specialty service. Availability may vary based on the complexity of current projects.

Each restoration is accepted at my discretion after assessment. This allows me to give every unit I accept the time and attention the work requires.
